
Angela began her hairdressing journey at Hair to Train in 2011 and quickly made her mark. She stepped into a salon environment straight away, completing her New Zealand Certificate – Professional Stylist in just 18 months.
Driven by a passion for creativity and competition, Angela built an impressive portfolio filled with award-winning looks. She encourages all aspiring stylists to get involved in competitions, crediting them for expanding her skills and confidence.
In 2015, Angela joined the Vivo team, where she now plays a key role in training and guiding apprentices. Her journey has evolved from student to educator, with an impressive list of achievements to her name:

Helen began her hairdressing training at Hair to Train in 2001, quickly proving her talent by receiving the Highest Achiever Award and graduating the following year in 2002.
After earning her National Certificate, Helen worked as a senior stylist in several Tauranga salons, building hands-on experience and refining her skills in the industry.
Her passion for hairdressing and education led her to gain her Assessor’s Qualification, taking her career to the next level. Today, Helen has come full circle – returning to Hair to Train as a Tutor, where she now supports and mentors the next generation of hair professionals.
Helen’s journey is a powerful example of where hard work and dedication can lead – from student to skilled stylist to respected educator in the hair industry.


Codey began her journey with Hair to Train in 2013 and successfully completed her New Zealand Certificate – Professional Stylist in 2015.
After qualifying, she ran her own business as a self-employed stylist before returning to Hair to Train’s commercial salon as a senior stylist. Her career took her to Auckland, but she later returned to Tauranga where she now works as a senior stylist at En Jay and also shares her expertise as a Tutor at Hair to Train.
Codey thrives on the balance of working in-salon and mentoring future stylists. She loves guiding young people in the industry while staying hands-on and current in her craft.


Laura began her hairdressing journey with Hair to Train in 2007. After two years of training, she stepped into the industry by gaining hands-on experience at various cutting bars and later completed her Barbering Qualification in 2011.
In 2020, Laura joined Vivo, quickly working her way up to Salon Manager while mentoring apprentices through their own training. She thrives on helping young stylists grow, both in the salon and through her involvement at Hair to Train.
Passionate about pushing creative boundaries, Laura entered the Goldwell Creative Colour Awards, earning a silver place. Today, she is 2IC at Vivo Bethlehem in Tauranga, holds her Assessor’s Qualification, and continues to tutor and inspire at Hair to Train.

Emily began her training at Hair to Train in 2016, completing two years before gaining experience in various Tauranga salons. She earned her New Zealand Certificate – Professional Stylist in 2019 and has since developed her own unique style in the industry.
A passionate colourist, Emily’s strengths lie in balayage and foiling, and she loves meeting new people while continuously learning new techniques. Her career has already taken her to Australia, and she currently works as a senior stylist at Vivo Bethlehem.
Looking ahead, Emily hopes to travel more and encourages aspiring stylists to get qualified – as it opens doors to international opportunities.

Izzy began her hairdressing journey with Hair to Train in 2022, completing two years of training in a supportive and encouraging environment. She is now continuing her development as an apprentice at Vivo Bethlehem, working hands-on while building her confidence and skills.
With her sights set on gaining her Professional Stylist qualification within the next 12 months, Izzy is focused and driven. Her goal is to grow into a senior stylist role with Vivo, and she's well on her way to making that dream a reality.
